Dear Mental Health Professional,

You are invited to the upcoming Symposium on Gender Affirming Mental Health Care at Santa Clara University on Friday, November 4th, 2022.  This symposium is intended to offer mental health providers in our community valuable information to learn and deepen your understanding of clients who are questioning their gender or who have already transitioned away from the sex they were assigned at birth. As you navigate this complex topic as clinicians, here at the SCU, we want to create access to quality information and education in this area for the professional mental health community.

The content of the Symposium will range from basic information about Gender Affirming Care to more complex topics such as the possible medical implications and working with family members of gender expansive people.

This event is free to attend and there are up to 5.5 Continuing Education hours (CEs) available to licensed clinicians. See the flier attached for more information.

This event will be held in person and will be run in accordance with Santa Clara University's Covid-19 protocols for events on campus.

Registration is open now!

If you know of any individuals or organizations who would benefit from participating in this symposium, please feel free to forward this email or the attached flier. Thank you again for your commitment in supporting affirming mental health in our diverse communities.

Sincerely,

Janet Sims, MA, LMFT
