Internship/Traineeship Opportunity: Our main office is located in Santa Clara. MFT Trainees and Associate MFT’s counsel at-risk youth, and vulnerable populations who are in need of social and emotional support. We offer unique programs and opportunities for counseling individuals, children and couples. We are searching for motivated, enthusiastic Associates /Trainees who want to make a difference in our community.
Associates /Traineeship opportunities Include: Gaining experience with adolescents (at-risk youth), parents, children, psychotherapy, group work, community collaboration, and resource referral and case management. We are seeking individuals to start their internship immediately. Training is included. A one year commitment is expected, since we work with at-risk youth and vulnerable populations.
Associates /Trainees also have an opportunity to work in our New Skills and Choices Parenting program, which offers co and parallel parenting classes to parents going through contentious custody disputes.
In addition to our Teen Dating and Family Violence Intervention program, we have programs for sexually aggressive youth and sexual abuse victims, which are conducted at Juvenile Hall and at the James Ranch. Concurrent individual and group therapy is provided to incarcerated youth. The majority of these clients are victims recovering from trauma. This population includes working with Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC).
Our Clinical Services offers Associates /Trainees experience treating children, adolescence, individuals and couples.Supervision will be provided by licensed MFT’s with many years of experience in the field. Applicants must be a MFT trainee, registered AMFT with the BBS, carry malpractice insurance and commit to a one year contract. Positions are available immediately.
