The mission of Parisi House on the Hill is to end the cycle of drug and alcohol dependence of our clients, all of whom are mothers. We are Santa Clara County’s first mother-and-child residential alcohol and drug treatment facility, allowing mothers to focus on their treatment program without the emotional distress caused when separated from their children. We provide living facilities for 20 mothers and 22 children who have made the choice to end the cycle of substance abuse.

The Position

Parisi House on the Hill has an immediate need for a combined Clinical Supervisor and Compliance Specialist, reporting to the Program Director and Executive Director.

The Clinical Supervisor is critical to our ability to continue to deliver our evidence-based programs that address the needs of recovery while valuing the unification of mothers and their children. This part of the position provides comprehensive clinical oversight, training, and support to staff providing residential level of care Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services to women with children. The Clinical Supervisor ensures clinical staff provide services in accordance with all applicable County, State, and Federal regulations and statutes, using evidence-based practices whenever possible.

The Clinical Supervisor also provides supervision to our team of 3 certified and/or licensed counselors and up to 2 CAADAC interns. This includes hiring, goal setting, professional development and performance management. This role is responsible for monitoring charting and documentation for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.

The Compliance Specialist has overall responsibility to ensure that Parisi House consistently meets regulatory requirements for Drug Medi-Cal documentation, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and the County contract, as well as County and Parisi House policies and procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing all documentation for timeliness, accuracy and completeness for Drug Medi-Cal compliance as well as creating, implementing, and monitoring procedures to ensure compliance. The Specialist works closely with other members of staff to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. In addition, the Specialist tracks compliance with contracts, policies and procedures and client survey data. The Compliance Specialist participates in required County meetings, conferences, trainings, and webinars.


This position requires a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LMFT, LCSW) with a current license who receives a minimum of five (5) hours of continuing education related to addiction medicine annually. The selected candidate must be proficient in using Electronic Health Records and common software programs such as MS Outlook. We require written and verbal communication skills to present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to prepare business correspondence.

It also requires previous experience in health care-related compliance tracking, databases, and clinical documentation accuracy. Proficiency in electronic health records systems, Word and Excel. Excellent time management, strong attention to detail and proactive communication skills.

The person we choose must have reliable transportation to offsite meetings and must pass required background screening.

Desired Qualifications

- Experience working with women and children who are affected by SUD
- Substance use treatment experience
- Experience in a residential treatment facility
- Experience with Welligent and the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Care System
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Farsi or Tagalog
- Prior experience with Drug Medi-Cal regulations and compliance, compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state and county guidelines related to residential SUD treatment.
