In this one-hour session, we will offer a thorough introduction to multiculturally informed counseling approaches for clients who identify as first generation. The content will begin with an examination of the similarities in therapy experiences for first generation therapy attenders and first generation Americans.

We will then delve into the application of multiculturally informed approaches for creating client centered treatment spaces. The session will wrap up with an introspective activity inviting therapists to explore their internalized biases and a group discussion.

Cost: $10 Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hour notice will be held to paying full price.
