Your business should be as unique as you are. Your right-fit clients aren't the same as those of your colleagues, and neither is your ideal marketing plan. That's why private practice blueprints don't work. Ever tried something that worked for a colleague and didn’t get the same results? Yep. Your business must reflect you.Your private practice is built on two pillars: your superpowers and your right-fit clients.

Your superpowers are the set of qualities that make you who you are. They make you a great therapist for the clients you love to work with. When you know how to lean into those superpowers in every part of your business, your marketing becomes easier and more powerful.

Your right-fit clients are the people you’re here to serve. You already know how to communicate with them skillfully in sessions, and you need to learn how to communicate with them as skillfully in your marketing and content. Get rid of the jargon and get to the heart of what they need from you.

When you understand those two pillars, you’re ready to create a unique and successful private practice.

Some things we'll discuss:

  • Identifying the needs of your right fit clients
  • Identifying what makes you different from your colleagues (different, not better!)
  • Creating a unique marketing plan
  • Creating a website that stands out
  • Making peace with money and setting your fees

Learning Objectives
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain what a “right-fit client” is in relation to their psychotherapy practices.
  • Utilize methods to identify their unique strengths as clinicians as related to building a private practice.

Annie Schuessler, creator of The Superpower Method For Therapists® Program, is a business consultant just for therapists. She shows therapists how to articulate their value and unique gifts so that they can bring fill their practices. She loves to help therapists create innovative and profitable businesses that pay them well and bring them joy. PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS MONDAY, MAY 15. Registration and payments must be received by the Monday before the event to guarantee lunch. Reservations will be held until noon. "Walk-ins" are welcome at a higher rate ($33 members / $40 non-members), however lunch and seating is not guaranteed.. Register online with MasterCard, Visa, American Express, PayPal, or check (payable to SCV-CAMFT). Your check must be received by the Monday prior to the event. Mail checks to SCV-CAMFT, P.O. Box 60814, Palo Alto, CA 94306. Please allow 10 days for delivery. Continuing Education: This course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Science (CAMFT CE Provider #052466). SCV-CAMFT maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. This presentation is suitable for all clinical levels. Certificates: To obtain your certificate, you must sign-in and sign-out at the event and complete a program evaluation. These are CAMFT requirements. You will be emailed a link to the evaluation within a week after the event. Upon completion of the evaluation, you will have access to the certificate. You must add your name and license number to make it official. This link will be active for 2 weeks after the email is sent. Audits: You can audit as a member for $10 and $15 for a non-member. Auditing does NOT include a meal or CEU credit. You can add CEUs when you register for an additional fee. For those auditing, the presentation begins at noon. Cancellations: Refunds will be issued if a request for cancellation is received by the Monday before the event. No refunds will be issued if a request for cancellation is received after the Monday before the event.
