About My Therapy

Personal Statement
After spending decades in the field of Fine Arts, I was inspired to dive deeper into counseling work that involved understanding the human condition. I have extensive experience working with clients from various cultures, youth, adults, and families. As a Psychotherapist, I am passionate about exploring, integrating cultural humility into my practice and recognizing the need for a deeper understanding of social, familial, and systemic dynamics, injustices, and stressors. I acknowledge the resiliency and strength of the immigrant community that makes this state diverse and dynamic.
Personal Statement - Sponsor
I offer services to individuals of diverse ages and cultures. As an immigrant to the USA, I intimately understand the challenges and triumphs of assimilation, maintaining cultural connections, and forging a new identity in a different country. These personal experiences are the foundation of my work with you and your family. If you or a loved one have migrated to the USA from another country, you face unique challenges. Generational differences, the loss of life back home, and the impact of traumatic experiences can contribute to feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.

My approach is relational and trauma-informed while exploring your ancestral, familial, and childhood experiences that may have shaped your present-day challenges. By understanding the layers of your personal history, we can uncover patterns, gain insights, and work towards creating lasting change. Together, we will work towards a deeper understanding of you as an individual and in the context of your relationships. I believe in the power of therapy to help you rediscover your inner strength, enhance your functionality, and meet the demands of everyday life.

I offer short-term goal-directed care and long-term support, utilizing therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, CBT, strength-based models, solution-focused therapy, inner child work, and family systems work. As a trained meditation teacher, I frequently see meditation's benefits in our work together. The use of DBT coping skills helps my client learn and improve their ability to self-regulate and promote their ability to cope with their challenges in an improved manner.

Diversity lies at the core of my practice, and I celebrate the unique beauty of individuals from all abilities, races, sexualities, genders, origins, religions, and political values. Your unique journey is respected and honored within my safe and inclusive space. Take the first step towards a transformative therapy experience. Contact me today to schedule an appointment and embark on a path of healing, growth, and self-discovery. Together, we can navigate the complexities of your life experiences and create a brighter future.
