Facilitator Liz Ojeda, AMFT

This support group welcomes therapists at any point in their licensing journey who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, aiming to maintain a safe and supportive space.

Our main focuses are:

  • Community Building: Foster a supportive network among LGBTQIA+ therapists, encouraging collaboration and mutual support.
  • Professional Development: Share resources and training opportunities to strengthen understanding of LGBTQIA+ issues and continue building on affirming practices.
  • Advocacy & Awareness: Reflect on tools and strategies to advocate for LGBTQIA+ clients and address systemic barriers in mental health care.

We typically meet the second Friday of every month 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.

This group is free of charge for SCV-CAMFT members, and open to non-members, who can attend 2 meetings before joining the chapter.
