Presented by Marty Klein, LMFT
In this all-day workshop, we’ll look at the structure of the therapeutic relationship and identify the typical places we get stuck—and learn how to move through those impasses with grace, humor, and power.
Topics we’ll cover include:
- Power dynamics & power struggles
- The architecture of intimacy
- Ten good reasons couples don’t have sex
- Making, keeping, and breaking agreements
- Committing to rules of productive conflict
You’ll learn how to:
- Help couples identify and change their narratives
- Help conflict-avoidant people engage with their partner
- Use guilt as a motivator
- Use the energy of angry, high-conflict people to move the therapy forward
These new skills will give you more energy to work with couples—and you’ll do it more effectively.
